As the Executive Director of Yale Conferences & Events, Suzanne is responsible for the strategic execution of programs, services, and fiscal management. Throughout her 11 year tenure with YC&E she has held various positions while guiding departmental growth.
Suzanne has been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years, previously employed by Quinnipiac University, Walt Disney World, and South Seas Resorts Company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management from Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU), an M.B.A from Quinnipiac University, and has earned her CCEP (Collegiate Conference & Events Professional) certification. Additionally, she currently spends time as an adjunct professor and advisor at SCSU where she teaches Event Management and Travel & Tourism.
Suzanne grew up in Branford, CT where she currently resides with her husband, Doug, and three kids, JD (18), Brianna (15), Michael (11) and crazy beagle Talia (4). She is very active in the community, initiating the start-up of the Soundview Family YMCA. She also loves running road races, and playing field hockey. When she is not pursuing her other passions of singing and traveling, Suzanne enjoys her favorite New Haven pizza, Abates!
