The Building Technology Manager will interface with all Yale departments which utilize YC&E exclusively managed space for the purpose of meetings and events. This position may encounter highly confidential information in the course of their duties. The BTM will ensure a high level of support services and project management which will directly contribute to productive meeting and events for university partners as well as impact the financial viability of the Greenberg Conference Center, bookable Betts House spaces, any other spaces exclusively managed by YC&E and the greater YC&E department.

As a member of the Yale Conferences & Events (YC&E) department and reporting to a YC&E Staff member, a Conferences & Events Intern (C&E Intern) is responsible for supporting a wide range of department programs, conferences, events, and projects both virtually and in person. As support for the YC&E planning team, C&E Interns contribute to short- and long-term planning, including coordinating all aspects of program management and logistical operations. C&E Interns will also have a secondary role of supporting a wide range of marketing and communications projects, such as managing social media accounts, preparing promotional materials and presentations, assisting with photography and graphic design, and managing newsletter and website content as needed.
The Operations Lead (OL) will report to the Office Manager (OM) and work closely with a team of 5 – 7 Operations Leads and other seasonal and full-time staff to coordinate all residential aspects of participants’ arrivals, stays and departures. This includes residential assignments, facility coordination, custodial services, meal services, billing reports and other logistical needs as necessary, utilizing Yale Housing’s StarRez database. The Operations Lead is responsible for the successful operation of multiple programs in many residential colleges and will assist with staff management. The role also has financial responsibility with revenue implications for the department.
Reporting to the Office Manager, the Operations Assistant (OA) will work closely with a team of Operations Assistants and other seasonal and full-time staff to coordinate all residential aspects of participants’ arrivals, stays and departures. This includes residential assignments, facility coordination, custodial services, billing reports and other logistical needs as necessary, utilizing YC&E’s StarRez database. The Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the housing team in administrative support of data entry, customer service, and StarRez management for more than 6500 academic year students, 10,000 summer guests, and over 5000 beds in the housing software.
The Operations Coordinator (OC) will report to the Office Manager (OM). This position will also work closely with a team of OC’s and other seasonal and full-time staff to facilitate the arrival and departure of program participants and staff. The OC serves as a knowledgeable professional and primary asset in the functioning and operation of a 24-hour office. Individuals will be asked to know and understand the workings of colleges and be proficient and adept at addressing daily issues. This position operates in the capacity of greeting the group organizers and their participants at check-ins/outs and courteously and efficiently aiding them as necessary while in residence.
The Hospitality Coordinator (HC) will report to the Office Manager (OM). This position will also work closely with a team of HC’s and other seasonal and full-time staff to facilitate the arrival and departure of program participants and staff. The HC will be expected to provide an elevated level of customer service to clients and participants while demonstrating responsiveness and professionalism. The HC serves as a knowledgeable professional and primary asset in the daily operation of a 24-hour office. Individuals will be asked to know and understand the workings of the Yale Housing front desk operations and utilize Salesforce, StarRez, and Trello management systems. This position operates in a public relations capacity by greeting the group organizers and their participants and by courteously and efficiently aiding them as necessary while in residence.
The Resource Coordinator (RC) will report to the Office Manager (OM). This position will also work closely with the Residential Operations Manager and other seasonal and full-time staff to facilitate the arrival and departure of program participants and staff. This includes residential assignments, facility coordination, custodial services, billing reports and other logistical needs as necessary, utilizing Housing’s StarRez database, Salesforce, and Trello. The RC will coordinate the organization of storage and transportation & distribution of goods to ensure all orders are fulfilled. The RC will work with internal and external service providers. The RC will work with clients to ensure they have a positive experience before, during and after their program.
