As a Conferences and Events intern, Maria Francisco supports the YC&E team with a variety of programs, conferences, and events hosted within our managed Yale venues. As a member of the Marketing and Communications team, she also contributes to social media management and the development of the monthly newsletter, bringing creativity and enthusiasm to each project.
Maria is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minor in Economics at the University of New Haven and expects to graduate in May 2027. On campus, she serves on the Women in Business Club committee, where she supports marketing initiatives and projects. She has experience working in customer service as a barista and hostess, as well as experience in sales and marketing. These roles have strengthened her communication skills and ability to connect with a wide range of audiences.
Maria is a first-generation Brazilian American from Danbury, Connecticut. In her free time, she enjoys trying new cafés, thrifting, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and exploring new hobbies. She is excited for the opportunity to work with YC&E and looks forward to gaining valuable experience that will continue to develop her skills and prepare her for the future.
