Summer Housing & Operations

Summer Housing & Operations

Yale Conferences & Events is your ACCED-I certified one-stop-shop for the planning of your summer program. Our department has taken the mystery and worry out of planning a summer program on a campus that is as vast and complex as Yale’s. From the initial inquiry through the budgeting and logistics process to the point of actual execution, we have your back.

We will wrap it all up in one comprehensive invoice that reflects all the work that has been done in planning your successful summer program.

You will be assigned a YC&E Point-of-Contact, giving you access to an assortment of University resources through a single contact. YC&E will provide you with personal assistance in all stages of your preparation to ensure that you have a successful summer.

To ensure that we can assist with your summer program, please submit your summer inquiry at least 1 year before the start date.

Event Staff

While you will have only one point of contact, rest assured that we have a full Event Team that works on summer programs all year long. We manage all the details of housing, dining, classrooms, and any other needs that you may have. We hope to anticipate any questions and challenges that come up and be ready with a solution that works for you.

Operational Staff

In addition to our staff in the office, YC&E hires a small army of student workers to help us each summer. These students are hand-selected for their interest in honing their customer service skills in a fun and dynamic environment while assisting our summer programs to have a terrific experience while on campus. Just think of us as an extension of your staff, here to assist and make your program a great success. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Housing

To have optimal learning experiences, students need to feel safe in their environment. The first Yale space they will get to see on campus will be their living accommodations. Yale has residential colleges, which are quite unique. Your YC&E Point-of-Contact will walk you through the placement of your office, nurse’s station, and staff and participants spaces to help you create the best scenario for your program.

Dining

Yale Conferences & Events and Yale Hospitality are proud to offer outstanding meals in our iconic dining halls each day, making sure your students are well prepared for class each day. The staff in each hall are prepared to make sure that each participant walks out of their meal feeling recharged and ready for the rest of their day.

Classrooms

The majority of our classroom spaces are old-fashioned classrooms with chalkboards and wooden seats that are bolted to the floor. Most classrooms have standard technology included.

Important Note on Timelines

Our busiest times are October and April. To ensure we can assist you, please submit your conferences & events inquiry at least 3 months before the start date. If you are interested in hosting a summer program on campus, please submit your inquiry at least 1 year before the start date
