As an intern for Yale Conference & Events, Vanessa provides support to the department with event planning tasks, ensuring smooth operations for events, conferences, projects, and summer programs, both virtual and in-person. Vanessa will also foster relationships by providing the best service to clients and participants.
In her previous roles, she has gained experience in customer service and administrative support, handling confidential information and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. She also has experience as a barista and waitress, broadening her knowledge of various industries.
Vanessa holds an associate’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Northwestern Connecticut Community College and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in International Business with a minor in Marketing at Southern Connecticut State University.
Originally from Colombia, Vanessa moved to the US in 2021 to continue her studies. She is excited to work with the team behind the scenes on events and learn more about what it takes for everything to run smoothly. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and trying new coffee spots in the area. She has the desire to open her own coffee shop, offering the best Colombian coffee and pastries.
