Suzanne Shaw publishes first-of-its-kind book on event planning at colleges and universities

YC&E Executive Director Suzanne Shaw accomplished a major feat by publishing Event Planning & Management At Colleges & Universities: An Emerging Hospitality Profession, a first-of-its-kind book providing broad insights into the world of hospitality in higher education. This book is meant to be an academic book positioning for a college or university course or entry level professional. In it, she shares her expertise as a leader in the hospitality industry with the rest of the world. Bravo, Suzanne!

 

Suzanne has been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years, previously employed by Quinnipiac University, Walt Disney World, and South Seas Resorts Company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management from Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU), an M.B.A from Quinnipiac University, and has earned her CCEP (Collegiate Conference & Events Professional) certification. Additionally, she spends time as an adjunct professor at SCSU where she teaches Event Management along with Travel & Tourism, and as an industry consultant.
