YC&E was honored to assist with Yale School of Medicine’s Second Look, a wonderful opportunity for accepted medical students to learn about life at Yale while mingling with faculty, students, and future classmates. This two-day event, held at the School of Medicine, East Rock Brewery, and the New Haven Lawn Club, was the second highest attended Second Look in Yale history and the first with their new Director of Admissions.

Yale Swim & Dive recently welcomed hundreds of alumni back to campus for a weekend celebrating the 125th anniversary of the program. Alumni from all over the country gathered in New Haven to connect with former teammates, meet the current swim team members, and celebrate the life and legacy of Yale’s long-time coach, Frank Keefe.

Welcome, class of 2028! 1,300 admitted students and their families were welcomed to campus this month for Bulldog Days and Bulldog Saturday to learn about what makes Yale special through a jam-packed schedule of activities. YC&E was proud to play a part in the planning and execution of this campus-wide event.

Our Community of Learners for Event Professionals (COL) at Yale got an inside look into World Travel, Yale University’s new travel booking and management system. Timothy Kropp from Yale Travel led a virtual session for COL, diving into the shift from Egencia to World Travel for business and event travel bookings. Participants engaged in discussion about event travel best practices and shared their questions and feedback on the new process with Yale Travel.

In the spirit of community engagement, our YC&E team recently dedicated a Tuesday morning to volunteering with the United Way of Greater New Haven at the Diaper Bank of Connecticut. Our staff assisted with organizing inventory, sorting donations, and assembling care packages for families in need.

From March 10th to 13th, a group of Yale Conference & Events (YC&E) team members - Jen Zuccaro, Julianne Minuto, Joseph DiMaggio, and Renae Giard - attended the 44th annual Associate of Collegiate Conference and Event Staff Directors - International (ACCED-I) conference, held in Providence, RI. Also in attendance was Jessica Criscuolo, Event Coordinator for Yale’s West Campus.
In a landmark collaboration, Yale Conference & Events (YC&E) proudly announces its partnership with Wesleyan University’s Office of Reservations & Conferences to inaugurate the Connecticut Colleges & Universities Consortium for Event Professionals. The consortium’s inaugural meeting took place on the beautiful grounds of Wesleyan’s Middletown campus on Tuesday, March 26th.
