On April 3, 2023, the Tobin Center for Economic Policy at Yale hosted a captivating Fireside Chat featuring U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Yale President Peter Salovey. The event was attended by over 500 members of the Yale community in person and virtually and was also featured on an episode of President Salovey’s “Yale Talk” podcast. Our YC&E team was honored to assist with the hosting of Secretary Yellen on Yale’s campus in this high-profile event!
During the chat, Secretary Yellen and President Salovey engaged in a dynamic discussion about modern supply side economics, along with her signature economic strategy. The Tobin Center’s research and policy work in this area was also highlighted, as was their emphasis on diversity in the study of economics.
Secretary Yellen’s insights into the economic landscape and her signature approach to economics made for a thought-provoking conversation that was both informative and engaging.
With modern supply-side economics taking center stage in many current policy debates, Secretary Yellen’s participation in this Fireside Chat was an invaluable contribution to the discourse!
