YC&E seized the opportunity to give back to the community this month by volunteering with the United Way of Greater New Haven for a school break groceries distribution. Our team helped pack 1,200 grocery bags of fresh, healthy meals that were distributed to families across four different New Haven Public School sites.
Our team had the enriching experience of visiting the Amistad at Long Wharf Pier in New Haven, part of the 2024 Voyage for Freedom event. Hosted by Discovering Amistad, this event was designed to educate visitors on the historical significance of the Amistad Rebellion and its role in advocating for racial and social justice today.

On May 29th and 30th, Yale University hosted the 10th Yale Innovation Summit, Connecticut’s largest entrepreneurship event, showcasing cutting-edge developments in the arts, biotech, climate, health, and tech sectors. This event attracted a diverse audience of innovators, investors, and industry professionals, offering them a dynamic platform for engagement through panels, keynote speeches, and networking opportunities.
Hundreds of scholars and experts dedicated to Baltic studies convened at Yale University from June 13 to June 16 for the 29th biennial conference of the Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies (AABS). This year’s conference, co-hosted by Yale University and the University of New Haven, featured a broad array of panels spanning the humanities, social sciences, education, technology, and transnational security, emphasizing the Baltic region’s role in European and global contexts.
