The New Haven Field Office of the FBI and Yale University Police Department are once again partnering on the Future Law Enforcement Youth Academy (FLEYA). FLEYA is a week-long law enforcement and legal training camp hosted on Yale’s campus for selected youth throughout Connecticut. YC&E has had the pleasure of assisting with FLEYA since its inception in 2016. We manage their on campus housing and accommodations, classroom bookings and specialty space requests, on campus dining, catered events, athletic events, graduation ceremony, field trips to UNH and the Thimble Island Boat Cruise.

This joint effort promotes future law enforcement career paths for Connecticut youth and gives the selected students an inside look at today’s FBI while simultaneously being exposed to various local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and practices. Students will receive specific classroom training and practical exercises led by federal agents, assistant U.S. and state attorneys, local police, and judges. The FLEYA program is free of charge to accepted students.
