Linda Torres recognized with Core Competence Award for Inspiration

At this year’s Yale Central Finance Summer Outing, our very own Financial Assistant Linda Torres was honored with the Core Competence Award for Inspiration, a recognition well-deserved for her outstanding dedication and team spirit.

The award is part of a program developed by the Finance Extended Leadership Team (ELT), in partnership with our Human Resources team, to celebrate staff who exemplify the Finance core competencies. A selection panel made up of ELT, HR, and senior leadership reviewed peer-submitted recognition cards to identify this year’s recipients.

Linda was recognized for her willingness to step up during a particularly challenging time, taking on critical responsibilities during vacancies in the HR and Fringe portfolio. Her careful work, thoughtful collaboration, and commitment to training new team members were deeply appreciated by colleagues across the department.

Congratulations, Linda! Along with a certificate of recognition, she received a commemorative Yale coin, specially designed and minted for Yale Finance.
