Welcoming Yale’s newest students at Bulldog Days 2025

Tuesday, April 29, 2025

From April 21st to 23rd, Yale’s campus came alive with excitement for Bulldog Days, the university’s signature program for newly admitted students. This three-day, two-night experience gave future Bulldogs a firsthand look at life at Yale through campus tours, student performances, sample classes, receptions, and organization fairs, plus plenty of time to explore independently. Attendees also had the chance to stay overnight in a residential college suite, hosted either by a friend or a student volunteer.

This year’s Bulldog Days truly spanned the campus — with events hosted in iconic venues like Old Campus, Dwight Hall, Battell Chapel, Payne Whitney Gymnasium, Commons at Schwarzman Center, Woolsey Hall, the Shubert Theater, and dozens of classrooms across Yale.

Yale Conferences & Events assisted behind the scenes, managing a wide range of logistics, including:

  • Access coordination and AV support
  • Classroom and specialty space bookings and contracts
  • Food and beverage, from dining halls and Commons to food trucks and hundreds of pizzas from New Haven favorites
  • Inflatable mascots, photo booths, and live appearances from Handsome Dan
  • Facilities work requests, grounds and electrical coordination
  • Street closures, meter bags, permits, and police/fire/security details
  • Signage, staffing, and transportation logistics

A few highlights included a High Street shutdown for a bustling outdoor lunch with six food trucks, and a legendary pizza party serving nearly 500 pizzas from beloved New Haven spots. Throughout the event, we welcomed up to 1,300 admitted students and 800–1,000 parents, guardians, and family members to experience the spirit and energy of Yale firsthand.

We were thrilled to be part of this unforgettable celebration and can’t wait to welcome these incredible students back to campus this fall!
