Our team is proud to assist with event logistics for the Cultivating Conversations event series, including a recent lecture on February 13th in the Humanities Quadrangle.
The Cultivating Conversations initiative, part of Belonging at Yale, features various events and programs aimed to amplify and promote openness and curiosity toward differing perspectives and equip the Yale community with the tools and support to communicate freely, exchange ideas, and connect with each other.
The February 13th event, titled Sustainability Starts with Survival: Clean Shelter’s Ground-Up Solutions for Gaza’s Displacement Crisis, was hosted by the Advisory Committees for Arab and Muslim Student Life and Jewish Student Life, and co-sponsored by the Chaplain’s Office and the Office of the Secretary and Vice President for University Life. It featured a conversation with Tom Kellner and Seba AbuDaqa, cofounders of Clean Shelter, a non-profit that provides immediate relief to displaced communities in Gaza by offering essential sanitation and shelter solutions, including tents, toilets, community structures, and access to clean water.
Leading up to the event, YC&E managed speaker transportation and hotel accommodations, secured the lecture space, and booked the audio-visual support and photographer.
During the event, our team contributed onsite staffing support to oversee operations, assist attendees, and liaise with the audio-visual team and photographer.
We look forward to contributing our event management skills to future Cultivating Conversations sessions! Learn more about the initiative here.
