YC&E partners with United Way for community grocery distribution

Thursday, August 29, 2024

This month, YC&E joined forces with the United Way of Greater New Haven to support our community through a school break groceries distribution event. This initiative helps families dependent on school meals by providing fresh, nutritious groceries as students transition back to the academic year. Our team proudly packed and distributed 1,200 grocery bags across four school sites in collaboration with the Coordinated Food Access Network.

A heartfelt thank you goes to United Way for enabling us to contribute to this meaningful cause, and to our social committee for organizing YC&E’s participation.

Since its establishment in 1920, the United Way of Greater New Haven has been a cornerstone in uniting individuals and organizations to tackle local challenges in health, education, and financial stability. For those inspired to volunteer, please check their website for more opportunities.
