International university leaders convene at Yale to address global challenges

Thursday, June 27, 2024

Presidents and senior officers from eleven prestigious universities gathered at Yale University earlier this month for the International Alliance of Research Universities meeting. This alliance, comprising leading research institutions from nine countries, aims to foster collaborative initiatives, enhance opportunities for university students and staff, and tackle significant global challenges.

During the three-day event, participants engaged in intensive working sessions, benefiting from insights shared by Yale’s faculty and staff on topics critical to the alliance’s mission. Meetings took place in several notable Yale locations, including the Greenberg Conference Center, Kline 14, the Humanities Quadrangle, and the Yale University Art Gallery. Attendees also enjoyed student-led tours of the campus, offering them a deeper understanding of Yale’s rich history and traditions. Additionally, a special tour of the newly renovated Peabody Museum of Natural History was a highlight of the visit.

YC&E was thrilled to play a supporting role in facilitating this important international initiative!
