Another memorable Yale School of Medicine Reunion Weekend has successfully concluded! Hosted on May 31st and June 1st, YC&E was privileged to play a supporting role in orchestrating this year’s festivities.
Alumni from various class years ending in 4s and 9s reunited at the School of Medicine campus, engaging in a series of celebratory activities. The event schedule was packed with class meetings, special dinners, an all-alumni BBQ lunch, and informative tours showcasing facilities like the Cushing Center and the Medical Simulation Labs. The programming offered attendees a comprehensive update on the latest developments at the School of Medicine.
A highlight of this year was a special event in honor of Woody Lee, MD ‘79, which drew a crowd of his friends and family. This celebration took place under a tent on Harkness Lawn, where attendees shared stories and accolades about Dr. Lee’s impactful career, accompanied by a vibrant jazz performance from Yale School of Music alumnus Jeff Fuller and his trio.
The reunion’s success was made possible thanks to the collaboration and efforts of various Yale departments, including Yale Hospitality, Yale Media Services, Yale Printing & Publishing Services, and Yale Facilities. Their dedication ensured a smooth and memorable weekend for all attendees!
Yale Conferences & Events managed the following tasks:
- Event staffing
- Registration builds through Cvent and Eventbrite and onsite registration management
- Food and beverage
- Coordination of event setup, breakdown, and custodial needs with Yale Facilities
- Audio-visual support in collaboration with Yale Media Services, including webinar management
- Booking photographer and musicians
- Event decor including florals, specialty linens, and lawn games
- Outdoor tent rental including setup, permitting, and staging
- Transportation
- Printing and graphic design in collaboration with Yale Printing & Publishing Services including event signage, programs, name badges, and attendance reports
