Yale Class of 2023 Takes the Stage

Yale University held its 322^nd commencement ceremony on May 22, 2023. More than 4,000 beaming graduates walked across the stage, while a whopping 20,000 friends and family members cheered them on. Yale’s historic Old Campus set the scene for this memorable event, where not only degrees were awarded, but also honorary degrees to outstanding individuals like Lonnie G. Bunch, Guido Calabresi, Robert Allan Caro, Max Dale Cooper, France A. Cordova, Andres M. Duany, Paul Giamatti, Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, and Deborah Willis. Afterward, the residential colleges hosted diploma ceremonies for each school.

Before the big day, on May 21st, Class Day and the Baccalaureate ceremonies added to the excitement. Class Day was a blast, with academic, artistic, and athletic prizes presented to incredible undergraduates. Adorned in academic gowns and funky “hats,” the graduating class paraded from Cross Campus to Old Campus, exuding pride and joy.

Yale Conferences & Events was honored to have played a part in this remarkable weekend and truly enjoyed supporting the commencement team, who worked their magic to ensure smooth sailing the entire time.
