Yale Conferences & Events recently had the honor to support a remarkable non-profit organization, the Breast Friends Fund, to help raise funds for groundbreaking cancer research. The organization, founded by the inspiring Sandy Cassinelli, organized the “Taste the Cure” fundraiser at the Glastonbury Hills Country Club on March 31, 2023.
Fundraising for groundbreaking cancer research
Sandy’s own experience battling metastatic breast cancer in 2015 led her to create the Breast Friends Fund, with a mission to support Dr. Eric Winer and his team in their quest for developing effective treatments and finding a cure for this deadly disease. The “Taste the Cure” fundraiser was an exceptional opportunity to rally the community behind this vital cause.
Thanks to the efforts of Sandy, the Breast Friends Fund team, and their generous supporters, the event was an overwhelming success. Together, they were able to raise an impressive $177,050 USD in donations, which will be used to further Dr. Winer’s research at the Yale Cancer Center.
Our YC&E team was so proud to have been part of such an impactful event, which had a direct and positive impact on cancer research. We are honored to have worked with the Breast Friends Fund and contributed to their exceptional mission!
