Yale Conferences & Events had the honor of assisting with the Yale Lightweight Crew Centennial, which took place on January 28th at the Yale Schwarzman Center. A full house of over 400 alumni, students, and parents attended this event, along with a number of VIP guests, to commemorate 100 years of Yale Lightweight Rowing. In fact, the event was so popular, a waitlist had to be established. Guests were treated to a reception from 6 to 7 PM, followed by dinner and speeches from 7 to 10 PM.
By working with multiple partners, including the Schwarzman Center’s hospitality and production teams, Yale Catering, Yale Public Safety and YPPS, YC&E was able to leverage our collective resources and expertise to create an event that was not only successful but ran smoothly and safely. Kudos to everyone involved!
Event Website: Y150 Centennial
Yale Conferences & Events assisted the Y150 Lightweight Centennial with:
- Created and managed online registration
- Booked space at the Yale Schwarzman Center
- Selected menu with Yale Catering
- Liaised with the Schwarzman production team for set up, lighting/design and run of show
- Coordinated with YPPS on all print materials, including the amazing book, backdrops, signage, and videos
- Created original designs such as the centennial logo, email graphics, and more
- Managed some of the mass email communications to invitees and stakeholders
- Worked with Yale Public Safety to ensure the safety of all guests
- Handled all décor, including florals, candles and linens
- Collaborated with the client and Yale Athletics on invitations and seating chart
- Secured a photographer to capture the evening
- Created a website after the event to showcase all of the pictures, speeches, and acknowledgements
