Yale Conferences & Events had the pleasure recently of taking a tour of the Canal Dock Boathouse located in New Haven’s Long Wharf waterfront district. This is a wonderful organization deeply rooted in the local community that just happens to also have event space with spectacular waterfront views for rent!
Community Impact
As a newly formed non-profit established to bring the community to New Haven’s waterfront, Canal Dock’s programs introduce residents to paddle boarding, Dragon boating, kayaking and rowing, and are “designed to be affordable and accessible, particularly to low income communities and communities of color”. Their mission is to “connect people to the outdoors, the environment, a shared heritage and ultimately to each other.”
