Director’s Note

Happy New Year, friends! 
 
As January unfolded, our YC&E team gathered for a period of reflection and goal-setting, laying the groundwork for an exciting year ahead.  
 
A warm welcome to our intern class of 2024! We’re excited about the fresh perspectives they bring and eagerly anticipate the contributions they’ll make to our team. Stay tuned for detailed introductions in our upcoming February newsletter! 
 
Spring is shaping up to be a vibrant season filled with a series of events on the horizon. Our YC&E team is gearing up for our summer planning series, a collection of virtual training sessions designed to ensure the success of our summer programs on Yale’s campus. Additionally, we’re counting down to the festivities of Bulldog Days and looking forward to collaborating with our campus partners on Commencement and Class Day. 
 
Here’s to a fulfilling and successful month ahead!

Welcome Linda and Steve!

YC&E leadership team attends Ivy Plus conference in California

Our leadership team headed to sunny California at the end of last year to attend the 2023 Ivy Plus for Conference & Events departments, held at Stanford University. 
 
   

YC&E unites Yale event professionals at 2024 kickoff celebration 

YC&E hosted our first Community of Learners event of 2024 on January 17th at Kline 14. Event professionals at Yale were invited to mingle with colleagues from departments across the University, indulge in desserts and drinks, and tour our recently opened event space at the top of Kline Biology Tower.

Physicists celebrate 20th anniversary of quantum research

 
YC&E assisted with the CircuitQED@20 conference, which drew over 300 physicists from around the globe to celebrate the past 20 years of findings in circuit quantum electrodynamics.
