July 2022 newsletter

Director’s Note

Hi Friends,

It is hard to believe that we are at the end of July already. It has been an amazing sight to see some hustle and bustle on campus again, with people crossing the streets, learning in classrooms, eating in dining halls, and enjoying themselves inside our beautiful residential colleges.

I spent much of the last few weeks engaging in my own professional development by attending the MPI World Congress in San Francisco and the StarRez Connect Global conference in San Diego. It is at these conferences where I can attain a true pulse on the industry. I also got to enjoy my first fruise from New Jersey to Bermuda. It has been great to see, first-hand the commanding interest and demand for in-person events, conferences, and travel!

Within a few weeks, summer programs will depart Yale’s campus and our team’s focus will turn to fall and academic year cycle planning. We look forward to welcoming students back soon.

A special thank you goes out to all our campus partners and to our summer staff who made service to our summer client possible again. We appreciate you!

Stay cool,

Suzanne

Special Feature: Client Spotlights

Although we were not able to host all of our usual summer clients this year due to university COVID protocols, we felt fortunate to be able to welcome a handful of them back to campus this summer after a 2-year hiatus. Below, we’ve highlighted two of the incredible programs that joined us on campus in June and July because we believe their stories are worth telling!

See how the Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP) and the Future Law Enforcement Youth Academy (FLEYA) are changing lives, one person at a time.
