Unveiling the impact of innovation at Yale and beyond

Thursday, June 29, 2023

The Yale Innovations Summit, held from May 31st to June 1st, stands as the largest entrepreneurial event in the northeast, drawing over 2,100 entrepreneurs, investors, and creators to Yale’s vibrant campus. Over the course of two days, innovators convened at the exquisite Edward P. Evans Hall, located at the Yale School of Management, for enriching conversations, networking opportunities, and inspiring talks by esteemed guest speakers, nurturing the spirit of leadership among the next generation of innovators.

In its 9th edition, the Innovation Summit aptly centered around the theme of “Expanding Impact”. It delved into the entrepreneurial influence of Connecticut and Yale, exploring various tracks such as health, arts, biotech, climate, and technology. Engaging panel discussions focused on fostering diversity and creating a dynamic investment environment. Furthermore, five startup companies from Connecticut showcased their progress, demonstrating the potential impact of research conducted at Yale on shaping the future. The event also featured a lively “speed networking” session in the courtyard, where attendees had the opportunity to forge meaningful connections while enjoying the refreshing outdoors.

The YC&E team was elated to contribute to this remarkable event. Josh Geballe, the Senior Associate Provost for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, gave YC&E a resounding shoutout, specifically acknowledging Shannon LeGault, who led the charge in organizing the summit. Geballe expressed, “I wanted to ensure you know what an absolutely amazing job the team at Yale Conferences and Events did supporting this event. Shannon LeGault was our point person, and she is an absolute rock star. Cool, calm, and collected in the eye of the storm, she made sure everything looked easy and came together perfectly. Leadership, logistics, service, food… everything was fantastic.”
