Cross Campus

A New Academic Year

August 2024 Newsletter

Director’s Note

Hi friends,

As summer winds down, I’m pleased to reflect on a truly exceptional season at Yale. Between commencement, reunions, and 67 summer programs (of which 34 were internal), we welcomed over 10,000 guests, including students and staff from both around the world and nearby New Haven. Our activities spanned 12 residential colleges and 9 dining halls, supporting the university’s mission to optimize campus facilities during the summer and strengthen our commitment to educational excellence and community engagement.

As we transition into the academic year, I want to extend a warm welcome to the 1,500+ first-year students and all returning students! Your presence brings new energy to our campus, and we are eager to see what this year brings.

Additionally, you may have noticed some updated staff titles in our communications. These changes are part of our ongoing effort to align more closely with industry standards and maintain consistency with our colleagues at peer institutions.

Thank you for your continued partnership. Here’s to an enriching fall semester ahead!

Best wishes,
Jen
