Director’s Note

Dear friends,
 
Happy Spring! 
 
It has been an exciting year for YC&E so far. As we prepare for a busy spring and summer, I am grateful for the opportunity to work with this team of outstanding professionals. I am consistently amazed by all their accomplishments, and I am confident you will be too once you read this month’s newsletter. Besides planning and executing flawless events on campus, they are also presenting at professional conferences and leading professional organizations to give back to their industry colleagues. 
 
While attending the ACCED-I Annual Conference in Chicago earlier this month with several of our team members, I was reminded of how valuable these professional development opportunities are. Having the chance to reflect and engage with other collegiate event professionals from all over the country was so refreshing. Our team returned energized and excited to begin the busiest season of the year!

We are looking for a Senior Administrative Assistant to join our team full-time as well as a Housing Administrator to cover a temporary position. We are also hiring for a few seasonal roles best suited for college students or recent graduates. See our Employment page for full details! 
 
 
 
 

YC&E shines at international conference

 
Our team made a stellar showing at the 43rd annual ACCED-I Conference in Chicago. Associate Director for Events and Program Administration Shannon LeGault and Program Director Megan Palluzzi both delivered highly informative presentations at the event. 
 
 

Emily Roback named IACC Regional Ambassador 

YC&E Senior Program Director Emily Roback has been named the International Association of Conference Centers - Americas’ Regional Ambassador for the Northeast. As regional ambassador, Emily will dedicate her 2-year term to working closely with IACC staff to support members at every stage of their membership and build stronger regional communities. Congratulations, Emily!

Yale rolls out new staff newsletter, YourYale 

 
As a direct response to the valuable insights gained from staff surveys, focus groups, and user testing, the Yale Office of Public Affairs & Communications has launched YourYale, a new weekly staff newsletter. Topics covered will include career development, wellness, and community feel-good stories, among others.
