Director’s Note

Dear friends,

Amidst the rain and the changing leaves, we’re excited to bring you the latest from Yale Conferences & Events!

This autumn has been a flurry of activity, featuring events like YDS convocation, Yale Ventures Innovation Awards, National Clinician Scholars, and the History of Modern Philosophy. Our Greenberg Conference Center has also been abuzz with events, evidence that it continues to be the go-to choice for many Yale departments looking to host staff retreats, dinners, and academic conferences.

Speaking of venues managed by YC&E, we are thrilled to unveil our newest addition: Kline 14, an exceptional conference and event space nestled on the 14th floor of Kline Tower. As of October, its doors are open for a variety of gatherings, from intimate receptions to full-day conferences. Bookings for the spring semester are now being accepted, and we can’t wait to welcome you to this remarkable space. For inquiries, please see the inquiry form. For a comprehensive list of our approved caterers and preferred vendors, head over to our vendors page. To see how the space was utilized for a recent Yale Ventures event, see their photo gallery.

But that’s not all - please join us in extending a warm welcome to our new team members, Julianne, Lily, Renae, and Joe! We’re overjoyed to have such a talented group of professionals join our ranks. They bring a wealth of experience to YC&E and we’re excited to see the significant contributions they will make in their respective roles. Learn more about them and their new positions below!

Pure Gioia: Restaurant Review

By Julianne Minuto, YC&E Program Manager

Directly across from Neapolitan pizza mecca, The Original Frank Pepe’s™, and occupying the old Tony & Lucille’s spot, the new kid on the block, Gioia, is worlds away in look and feel.  An airy, open space that manages to still feel cozy with dark booths and blonde wood tables, a glistening tiled bar, and a spotless open gourmet kitchen. Gioia is Italian for joy, as the menu cheerfully declares, and it’s a fitting name for treat of a dining experience.
