More information to follow in the next few months, but for now, I invite you to read below the announcement released by John Mayes, Associate VP of Administration, detailing our department’s reorganization.

I am so excited to take on this new role as Director of YC&E and look forward to working with many of you in my new capacity!

Organizational Announcements: Yale Conferences & Events and Yale Housing

Dear Colleagues,

We recently announced the departure of Suzanne Shaw, Executive Director of Yale Conferences & Events (YC&E) and Yale College Housing. With Suzanne’s transition, we took the opportunity to reconsider the structure of the units.

I am pleased to announce that Jennifer Zuccaro will be the new Director of Yale Conferences & Events and Nathan Lubich will be the Director of a new reorganized unit, Yale Housing.

YC&E will continue to focus on providing high-quality programmatic support for the many campus conferences and events that support Yale’s teaching, research, and practice missions. YC&E will also oversee a new function focused on registration and communications to the many summer programs that happen campus-wide. The new Yale Housing unit will provide oversight and leadership for Yale College Housing, Summer Program Housing and Graduate Housing.  Both YC&E and Yale Housing will continue to report to me as AVP for Administrative Operations.

Along with the appointments of Jennifer and Nathan, I’d also like to announce a few other changes within each of their organizations. Justin Thornton will step into Nathan’s former role as Associate Director of Undergraduate Housing and Caitlin Slattery will assume the role of Assistant Director of Undergraduate Housing. Later this year, Kate St. Marie and the Graduate Housing team will also move under the Yale Housing umbrella.

In YC&E, Tara McHugh will step into Jen’s former role as Associate Director, Program Operations which will include overseeing the new Summer Programs Registration function. In addition, Shannon LeGault will step into an expanded role as Associate Director for Events and Programs Administration.

Please join me in congratulating our two new directors and their team members.

Best regards,

John Mayes II
Associate Vice President for Administration
