Hi friends,
 
The most wonderful time of the year is upon us once again! Are you tasked with hosting a work holiday party? Here are a couple of great resources to help take some of the stress out of your joyous occassion: Eventbrite’s holiday party guide is a full of ideas to make your gathering an unforgettable one and Let’s Roam’s inclusivity guide is a great tool to ensure your event is an inclusive one. 
 
With the new year fast approaching, we might find ourselves looking back at everything that we’ve accomplished and overcome but also looking ahead to the future with excitement and hope. If you need help jumpstarting your new year’s resolutions, check out this expansive list of 30-Day Challenges to Change Your Life that not only includes insightful tips but also suggested phone apps, downloadable templates, and more. 
 
As for looking ahead to the future of event planning, Vario and DemandGen recently published industry trends that will shape 2023 and what’s in store for the future of event planning and beyond (respectively). I hope that these reports will equip you with knowledge to take on 2023 more confidently! 
 
I would like to end this final note of 2022 by encouraging all of you to practice gratitude and take time to reflect on the small wins from this past year. We have so much to be grateful for!

Friendsgiving, the YC&E way 

 
Our YC&E team recently “dressed up” the Greenberg Conference Center for our annual “Friendsgiving” potluck and it was the perfect way to get together before last week’s holiday break.

Exploring the parallel pressures of sustainable finance 

 
The Yale Initiative on Sustainable Finance recently hosted its 2022 Annual Symposium on campus and YC&E had the honor of assisting with this event. The symposium brought together a diverse set of speakers and expert panelists to share cutting-edge insights on impact investing, climate risks, the transition, regulation, and other emerging issues in the world of sustainable finance. 
 
 

Designing and implementing resilient peace agreements 

 
Our YC&E team had the pleasure of helping the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs recently with its two-day colloquium on “Strategies for Sustainable Peacebuilding”. Scholars, practicioners, and policy-makers spoke about implementation challenges to designing resilient peace agreements, as well as engaged monitoring and fostering public participation when integrating peace agreements into policy.
