On Friday, November 17th, Yale Athletics bestowed six Lifetime Achievement Awards to honor individuals who have made significant leadership contributions in the fields of governance, commerce, science and technology, education, public service, and the arts and media.
Held at the Schwarzman Center, the event featured two receptions, a sit-down dinner, and an awards ceremony with speeches from Yale Athletics and past honorees. Attendees were also treated to musical performances by Frances Arnautou and the Unorthojocks, and invited to participate in a silent auction. To round out the night, this year’s honorees held a panel discussion on their respective fields of work.

Our YC&E team was honored to assist with this event, and could not have done it without the significant contributions of University partners such as Yale Hospitality, who provided a delicious, upscale reception and dinner spread, Yale Printing and Publishing Services, who created all print materials for the event, and the Schwarzman Center production team, who provided high-level audio and visual media support. Our external service providers lent a big hand too, and we’re grateful for the hard work of HB Live on the custom Blue Leadership Ball backdrop and to AFR for providing rental furniture and decor.
As with all events, the Blue Leadership Ball was a conglomoration of many different moving parts, but was able to be excecuted smoothly due to the seamless collaborative efforts of everyone involved. To top it off, Yale beat out Harvard in The Game 23-18 the very next day, giving Yale Athletics another reason to celebrate!
Yale Conferences & Events Assisted with the following tasks:
- CVENT registration platform
- On site registration
- Coordination of all print materials through YPPS, including name badges, award winner banners, event booklet, and table tents)
- Decor, including rental furniture from AFR and a custom backdrop by HB Live
- Menu selection and coordination with Yale Hospitality
- Liason of on-site production and the event run of show with the Schwarzman Center production team.
