Yale Deans Explore AI Frontiers in Silicon Valley

Thursday, November 30th, 2023

On October 23rd and 24th, our YC&E colleagues Megan Palluzzi, Program Director, and Kristina Tavilla, Program Operations Coordinator, had the incredible opportunity to travel to California to assist with the Yale Deans’ AI Retreat. This two-day event brought together Yale’s Deans and Senior Leadership with experts from across the country to explore the potential of AI integration for the university, particularly for its students.

Against the backdrop of picturesque Palo Alto and San Francisco, retreat attendees visited leading AI development offices to delve into the latest advancements in AI technologies. They also had the privilege of touring the impressive Google Campus and learning from top-notch research experts. Through engaging panels, presentations, and office tours with AI specialists, participants left the retreat with fresh insights on how to incorporate AI into Yale’s future.

We feel truly fortunate to have been a part of this enlightening retreat. It marked a significant milestone as the first time Yale’s Deans and senior leadership ventured out for a retreat of this magnitude. We’re deeply honored that they chose our department to assist in planning this event. This is the second occasion that YC&E has organized an event beyond Yale’s campus this year, and each time, it’s a gratifying experience to share our resources and expertise across state lines – and even across the country!
