Community Commitment: YC&E staff volunteers with United Way for Diaper Bank

Thursday, March 28, 2024

In the spirit of community engagement, our YC&E team recently dedicated a Tuesday morning to volunteering with the United Way of Greater New Haven at the Diaper Bank of Connecticut. Our staff assisted with organizing inventory, sorting donations, and assembling care packages for families in need.

The United Way of Greater New Haven, established in 1920, brings together individuals and organizations to address community needs in health, education, and financial stability. For those interested in volunteering, visit their website for opportunities.

The Diaper Bank, a nonprofit serving low-income families in Connecticut, distributes essential items like diapers, period supplies, and incontinence products. They also raise awareness and advocate for policy reform to include these items as “basic human needs.” Since 2004, they’ve distributed over 31 million free diapers. Kudos to our Social Committee for organizing this volunteer effort! YC&E remains dedicated to giving back to the New Haven community and is proud to support the admirable work of both United Way and the Diaper Bank. Follow our day’s highlights on Instagram Reels
