US Navy Band Performs at Yale in Collaboration with the City of New Haven

Event Description: 
The US Navy Band, the Navy’s premier musical organization culminated their 2016 annual tour with a performance at Yale’s Woolsey Hall. The Band’s wind ensemble is considered to be one of the Navy’s signature outreach programs, performing public concerts for nearly 90 years.

Scope of Work: 


·        Worked with Kito Covington at Woolsey Hall to secure a space for the band and ensured the lighting and sound system would complement the performance

·        Coordinated with the Yale Police Department and Security to ensure the safety of the band, staff, guests, and New Haven Mayor Tori Harp who was in attendance

·        Set up a pop up box office at the Shubert Theater for the public to purchase tickets

·        Assisted with media set up to support the event’s press conference, held the day prior

·        Provided band with a Yale campus tour that concluded with pizza at Bar, a local favorite

·        Confirmed the final stage set up, transported and unloaded instruments to and from Woolsey Hall, and ensured  the band arrived in time to perform

·        Arranged food and beverage for Band staff throughout

·        Provided ushers to hand out programs, seat guests and arrange VIP seating and parking
