On April 11 and April 20-22, Yale welcomed admitted students and their families to campus for two cornerstone spring events, Bulldog Saturday and Bulldog Days, each designed to offer a firsthand look at the University’s academic and community life.
Bulldog Saturday brought the spirit of Bulldog Days into a dynamic, one-day program spanning Battell Chapel, Dwight Hall, Old Campus, Lecture Hall, and William L. Harkness Hall. Visiting students participated in campus tours, student life panels, academic forums, and activities with undergraduate organizations. The day also included meals in Yale dining halls and a New Haven pizza lunch, creating space for admitted students to connect with future classmates while experiencing campus traditions.
Just over a week later, Bulldog Days (April 20-22) expanded the experience into Yale’s signature three-day, two-night admitted student program. Events took place across campus, including Old Campus, Dwight Hall, Battell Chapel, Payne Whitney Gymnasium, Commons at the Schwarzman Center, Shubert Theater, Woolsey Hall, Kline 14, Tsai City, and classrooms throughout Yale.
Attendees explored campus through tours, sample classes, academic and extracurricular fairs, student performances, and receptions, along with opportunities to connect more informally. Many students stayed overnight in residential college suites with hosts, adding to the immersive experience.
Yale Conferences & Events was proud to support both programs through comprehensive coordination and on-the-ground execution, including:
- Access coordination
- Audio-visual support
- Classroom and specialty space reservations
- Dining and food and beverage coordination (including dining halls, Commons, coffee service, food trucks, and hydration stations)
- Facilities, grounds, and electrical coordination
- Rentals, including tenting and more than 300 tables at Payne Whitney Gymnasium
- Transportation and parking logistics
- Signage and wayfinding
- Permits, street closures, and meter bag coordination
- Police, fire, and security support
- On-site staffing
- Special program elements, including inflatable activities, photo booths, Handsome Dan and the Boola mascot, and a live organist at Woolsey Hall
Bulldog Days welcomed up to 1,400 admitted students and 800-1,000 family members. A highlight of the program was a campus-wide pizza celebration, featuring nearly 500 pizzas from New Haven favorites and five food trucks along High Street, which was closed to create a vibrant, community-centered gathering space.
We were honored to support these signature Yale programs, helping create a memorable and engaging experience for the next generation of Yale students.
