On Tuesday, April 28, Yale hosted From Innovation to Impact: AI at Yale Symposium 2026, the University’s second annual campus-wide interdisciplinary gathering on artificial intelligence. Organized by Yale’s Office of the Provost with full-service planning support from YC&E, the program brought together diverse voices to explore AI’s evolving role across disciplines.
With 14 campus partners and vendors contributing, the symposium welcomed more than 750 registered attendees and featured 166 presenters sharing innovations, applications, and critical perspectives on machine learning and generative AI.
Held across multiple spaces in Kline Tower, including Kline 14, YSB/Marsh Auditorium, and Poorvu North, the day featured 30 sessions designed to spark dialogue, collaboration, and discovery. The program began with registration and breakfast, followed by an opening plenary and keynote panel in Marsh Auditorium with remarks from Provost Scott Strobel and a discussion moderated by Associate Provost Jennifer Frederick.
Attendees then moved through a full day of programming, including three concurrent session blocks, digital poster presentations, resource tables and pop-up demonstrations, and topic-based lunch breakouts that blended learning with networking opportunities.
The symposium concluded with a musical keynote in Marsh Auditorium, featuring both panel discussion and a live performance by a string quartet from Music Haven, followed by a closing reception in Kline 14.
It was inspiring to see such strong participation from across the Yale community, with faculty, staff, and students coming together to share ideas and explore the future of AI. We look forward to what next year’s symposium will bring.
