Director’s Note

Hi Friends,

May always brings with it a whirlwind of activities and excitement, and this year was no exception! YC&E proudly supported Yale’s Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies, witnessing Old Campus transform to accommodate nearly 20,000 seats. Additionally, we assisted Yale College in orchestrating a memorable Class Day, a cherished tradition dating back to the 19th century. These monumental efforts were made possible through collaboration with our dedicated campus partners and valued community stakeholders. Kudos to all involved!

As we transition into summer mode, our focus shifts to our 50+ summer programs. Yale Summer Session participants checked in over Memorial Day weekend, marking the beginning of what promises to be an unforgettable summer at Yale! To celebrate the beginning of summer and to welcome our summer staff, we hosted a lively, carnival-themed summer kickoff party, setting the stage for months filled with memorable experiences and comradery.

Amidst our busy schedule, our YC&E staff also took time to attend various conferences and meetings, enriching our knowledge and expanding our network within the industry. These experiences contribute to our continuous growth and development as a team. Read more about their experiences below.

Adding to the excitement of this month, Yale has named Maurie McInnis ‘96 Ph.D. as its 24th president in a landmark announcement yesterday. Maurie will begin her new role on July 1st. For more details, you can read the full article on YaleNews here.

Wishing you all a wonderful month ahead.

Best regards,
Jen Zuccaro
