Summer Programs

The 2020 Summer Debate Camp, run by Capitol Debate, will be held at Yale University from June 28 to July 9. Students will build public speaking, research, writing, organizing, and critical thinking skills, leading to better academic performance.
Citizens-Thinkers-Writers is a two-week summer residential program for students from New Haven public schools who are interested in exploring fundamental human questions in a college setting.
The goal of the Economics for Leaders (EFL) program is to give promising students the skills to be more effective leaders and to teach them how to employ economic analysis when considering difficult public policy choices. Given the existing challenges confronting our nation and, assuming that problems in years to come will be equally consequential, the job of preparing the next generation of leaders may be one of the most important actions we can take now to ensure our wellbeing in the future. The Foundation for Teaching Economics is committed to finding and nurturing those budding leaders.

The New Haven Field Office of the FBI and Yale University Police Department are proud to announce their groundbreaking joint effort to educate, enrich, and promote future law enforcement career paths for Connecticut youth. Two of the nation’s most notable and iconic institutions have partnered to create a weeklong law enforcement and legal training camp for youth throughout Connecticut. The program- Future Law Enforcement Youth Academy (FLEYA)—gives selected youth an inside look at today’s FBI while simultaneously being exposed to various local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and practices. Yale’s campus provides an academic environment rich with the atmosphere significant for students to pursue higher education.
The exclusive ISSOS summer school program offers high school students (aged 13-18) the opportunity to combine learning, creative enrichment and action-packed adventure in the historic and picturesque campus of Yale University. Our three-week program welcomes students from over 60 nationalities, and limits the number of students from one nationality to 10% in order to guarantee a truly international experience. Students choose from a variety of academic and elective subjects that are taught by highly qualified professionals and benefit from full activities, cultural trip and workshop program. In addition, students are well supervised by a team of summer school counselors who make sure students are safe and happy at all times as well as making sure the summer school is fun, full of laughter and that all students make friends from around the world.
