This summer, we were happy to welcome our new group from “across the pond” to spend time on our campus for three weeks. ISSOS is a unique and exclusive summer school that prides itself on focusing on the individual needs of each and every one of their students. They offer the highest standards of education in order to assist their students in achieving their personal goals and maximize their own potential. Their balanced summer program offers students the opportunity to take exceptional academic courses, combined with a wide range of cultural, social and sporting activities. They believe in offering broad-based learning opportunities to develop the whole student, as well as concentrating on their academic achievements. Unlike other summer schools, they only accept 10% of students from any single nationality, thereby offering a truly international summer experience. ISSOS at Yale officially started on July 17th and the students were enjoying their new surroundings of Trumbull College. On a sunny and warm day, students and their parents were given a true Scottish welcome with a Piper playing the bagpipes and ISSOS staff who were excited to get to know the teenagers who would be in their care for the next three weeks. Everyone was settling into the academic and elective classes and were enjoying the Clan events. They had many returning students who had previously experiences St. Andrews and Cambridge, who were excited to see what Yale had to offer. Below, we invite you to take a look at their first days on campus and how truly magnificent this program is.
